Eucharistic Congress
In conjunction with the National Eucharistic Revival, there will be a Eucharistic Congress held in Indianapolis, Indiana next summer, from July 17, 2024 to July 21, 2024. The organizers are anticipating a gathering of almost 80,000 Catholics from all over the country. Any parishioners who are interested are invited to attend. Based upon the information currently available, the group rate for the five day conference is $299.00 per person, which does not include lodging, meals or transportation. Creating a sacred prayer space
One way to foster Eucharistic devotion in the home is to create a sacred prayer space. This is a way to take your experience of receiving Jesus in the Eucharist home to continue connecting with God and deepen your faith as an individual or a family. Ideas for creating this space:
- Find a suitable location in your home, corner of a bedroom, cozy space in your living room, empty closet, outside garden or space…
- Select items for this space such as: cross/crucifix, bible, bible stories for children, rosary, journal, bulletin board to attach a gratitude list and/or a space to write down people who need prayers
- Prayer candle (battery operated if you have children), fresh flowers
- Photos of family, Jesus, monstrance, saints, etc.
The most important tip for creating a sacred prayer space is to use it daily. Set aside a few minutes each day to visit your prayer corner where you can connect with God and deepen your faith.

Eucharistic Revival Program at Holy Family
The Bishops of the United States have called for a three year grassroots revival focusing on the belief in the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist.
Currently we are in the second year, which calls parishes to provide opportunities to restore understanding of and devotion to the Eucharist. We, the faithful, nurtured by our own renewal, will go forth to love and serve our brothers and sisters, especially the poor and marginalized.

What is Adoration?
Eucharistic Adoration is an opportunity for the faithful to pray to Jesus Christ before the Eucharist.
Our parish offers two Eucharistic Adoration opportunities:- Friday mornings after mass until 12:00PM. This is a private silent adoration followed by benediction. Common questions are:
- “What should or can I do while there? Do I just sit in silence?” You can just “be there” or pray the rosary, write in a prayer journal, listen to music with headphones, read the bible or spiritual books.
- Do I need to stay for the entire time? No! Any time with the Lord strengthens your relationship with him. It’s customary to bow or genuflect as you arrive and leave adoration.
- What is benediction? A five-minute service during which the priest incenses the Eucharist, gives a solemn blessing to the people with the Eucharist in the monstrance, tracing the sign of the cross with it over the people in silence. After saying the prayers of praise, he takes the Eucharist back to the tabernacle as a conclusion to the benediction.
- 2nd Monday of each month at 7:00PM. This adoration is a combination of the traditional display of the Eucharist followed by a variety of prayer experiences including psalms, music, readings, candle lighting, etc. Each month follows a different format but always ends in benediction.
